The National Association of Mongolian Agricultural Cooperatives (NAMAC) opened a farmers’ shop on the 1st floor of its headquarters in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. More than 50 people attended the opening ceremony of the shop on 10 February 2023 including representatives from the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, SME agency, Mongolian Commodity of Exchange, PMPMD, and representatives from member cooperatives.

Within the framework of NAMAC’s goal to make a positive contribution to rural development and improve the livelihood of members, the farmers’ shop aims to increase the sales, production volume, and profitability of member cooperatives, as well as improve product quality standards, hygiene requirements, and packaging.

“We are opening an agri-coop farmers’ shop in order to expand the business activities of the cooperatives and increase the income of the members. Within this purpose, we are developing an “Agri-Coop” brand and all products produced by members will be marketed under this brand,” said Altantuya Tseden-ish, the president of NAMAC.

The Agri-Coop farmers’ shop directly sells NAMAC member cooperatives’ products such as meat, dairy, boney, barley flour, sea buckthorn juice, oil, pieces, vegetables, and other products.
