2016 : ASEAN Learning Route on Agricultural Cooperatives

  • Theme : ASEAN Learning Route on Agricultural Cooperatives
  • Time : 28 March – 3 April 2016
  • Place : The Philippines and Thailand
  • Participants : 7 govt. officials and 23 FO´s leaders from 8 ASEAN states
  • Objective : Strengthening the role of agricultural cooperatives in addressing the challenges and opportunities of AEC by learning and gaining knowledge about the best practices in agricultural cooperatives management in the Philippines and Thailand.

2017 : ASEAN Learning Series and Policy Engagement on Agricultural Cooperatives

  • Theme : ASEAN Learning Series and Policy Engagement on Agricultural Cooperatives (ALSPEAC) – Inclusive Agricultural Value Chain for Coffee
  • Time : 19-21 July 2017
  • Place : Yogyakarta, Indonesia
  • Participants : 65 individuals from governments, private sectors, and various farmers’ organizations across ASEAN
  • Objective: Promoting the ASEAN standard on coffee and enhancing the optimum output of ASEAN coffee value chain & business matchmaking.
  • Expected Outcome : Promotion to have ASEAN brand on specific agricultural produce (coffee) & Ensure participation of agricultural cooperative in regional agricultural value chain.
  • Output: Business Matchmaking & direct trading between farmer & private sector.
