During the recent Farmers’ Organizations and Agri-enterprise workshop in Bangkok conducted from 22-24 April 2024, an exciting “Hottest Chili” mini-contest took center stage. Partner farmers’ organizations proudly presented their finest chili paste and dried chilies, each representing the unique flavors of their respective countries.

A panel of discerning judges undertook the flavorful task of sampling each entry, meticulously determining which offered the perfect blend of heat and taste, crowning the ultimate champion of spiciness.

The coveted title went to the fiery entries from SEWA (India) and KAMMPIL (Philippines). Following closely behind, VNFU (Vietnam) secured the second-place position, with SEWA clinching the third spot on the podium.
