Sustainable Practices in Strawberry and Raspberry Cultivation
Kyrgyz Association of Forest and Land Users (KAFLU)
Kyrgyzstan

KAFLU LLC is a cooperative uniting over 200 Kyrgyz farmers committed to sustainable agriculture and improving efficiency. The cooperative’s primary focus is cultivating strawberry and raspberry seedlings on one hectare of land. By employing modern irrigation techniques, such as drip irrigation, KAFLU maximizes water efficiency. Additionally, the cooperative has constructed an artificial reservoir, providing a reliable water source year-round, a critical advantage in a region with fluctuating seasonal irrigation.

KAFLU LLC is dedicated to supporting its members by offering seedlings at cost and helping farmers reduce expenses on planting materials. Beyond seedlings, the cooperative also sells raspberries and strawberries, generating additional income and contributing to the economic growth of its members. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, KAFLU LLC is driving agricultural development in the region, enhancing livelihoods, and promoting resilient farming practices.
