The Asian Farmers’ Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA), together with the FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, will be holding “Farmers Meet Negotiators: Building Asia’s Climate Agenda for COP30”, a two-part regional activity to strengthen the voice of farmers and rural communities in the upcoming climate negotiations at COP30 in Belém, Brazil. These activities are supported by the APFP-FO4A program and the Forest and Farm Facility, which are both implemented by AFA.

Part 1: Regional Webinar

The webinar will provide updates on the key moving parts of COP30, and serve as a space for farmers’ organizations to build shared advocacy messages.

This will bring together farmers’ organizations and government negotiators to discuss and exchange on priorities and consolidate Asia’s shared advocacy agenda for COP30.
