Kathmandu, Nepal, 30 July 2014 — Twenty-five participants from six national level FOs participating in the Medium Term Cooperation Program Phase Two (MTCP2) and their regional members held a workshop on value chain and market linkage last July 27, 2014, Pokhara, Nepal. The workshop was organized by ANPFa, which is the National Implementing Agency (NIA) of MTCP2 in Nepal.
Participants learned about the concept of value chain and market linkage and the impact of these on their agricultural products.
The participants decided to formulate 14 district level committees for the implementation of MTCP2 in their respective districts.
These district level committees will intervene in government policies and programs at the district level and help formulate programs for farmers.
Dr. Keshab Khadka was the main resource person during the workshop.
