ASEAN Farmers Organisations Support Programme (AFOSP) participated in the celebration of Europe Day in Bank Mandiri Museum in Indonesia on 9 May 2018 to exhibit its accomplishments as an EU project as well as to increase awareness towards the program.

The AFOSP booth showcased how the programme has worked to help small-scale farmers in the ASEAN region. Products from partner Farmer Organizations (FOs) are also displayed in the booth.

AFOSP-MTCP2 is a five-year program supported by EU and IFAD aimed at strengthening ASEAN Farmers Organizations as key partners in ensuring food sufficiency and sustainable inclusive development. AFOSP-MTCP2 is implemented by the consortium Asian Farmers Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA) and La Via Campesina (LVC), together with around 15 million small-scale farmers organized into around 900 farmers organization in 7 countries in ASEAN, namely Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. AFA and LVC also work in partnership with ASEAN Foundation to strengthen the participation of FOs in ASEAN processes.
