Contractors are finishing the construction of a chicken coop that was granted for young farmers in Cambodia who were chosen as beneficiaries of AFOSP. Through the Federation of Farmer Association Promoting Family Agriculture Enterprise in Cambodia (FAEC), one of AFOSP partner farmers’ organizations, this chicken coop was granted directly to select young farmers in Svay Rieng, Kampong Thom, and Battambang provinces. The project aims to improve the living condition of young farmers and encourage them to pursue a career and business in agriculture so they can continue to expand the agriculture sector of the country.
In Cambodia, five National Farmer Organizations namely FAEC, FNN, FCFD, FWN, and CFAP are implementing the AFOSP-APFP, a program funded by the IFAD and EU.
