First Laos Young Farmers Camp and Agrilympics (YFCA)

Around 60 young farmers joined the First Laos Young Farmers Camp and Agrilympics held on 23–25 July 2025 at the Lao Farmer Association (LFA) office in Vientiane, Laos.🌱👩‍🌾

Over 3 days, participants engaged in discussions and learning exchanges, field visits, agrilympics, business plan training, financial planning for agribusiness, and introduction to accessing funds.

Organized by the Lao Farmers Association (LFA), this camp empowered youth with knowledge, skills, and connections to shape the future of sustainable farming in Laos. Click here to view more photos

The Young Farmers Camp and Agrilympics (YFCA) aims to empower rural youth by showcasing that farming can be innovative, fun, and a viable livelihood, while promoting leadership, cooperation, and sustainability through interactive competitions, skills workshops, and knowledge sharing activities.

The YFCA is made possible through the support of the APFP-FO4A program, co-financed by the European Union (EU) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and implemented by the consortium Asian Farmers’ Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA) and La Via Campesina (LVC).
