YOGYAKARTA – MTCP2 Laos’ story “Zero Energy Cool Storage” was voted best practice while MTCP2 Bangladesh’s photo titled “Organic Dried Fish Production” was voted best photo by farmers organizations, NIAs and development partners participating in the recently concluded MTCP2 Knowledge Management Fair 2018 held at Cakra Kusuma Hotel in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on 22 October 2018. 

MTCP2 Bangladesh’s good practice story “Saving the Environment and Earning Income through Vermicomposting” garnered the favor of online voters and came in a close second to Laos. 

Twenty four stories of good practices and 40 photos from the Pacific, South Asia, Southeast Asia were submitted for the KM Fair which featured a photo contest for the first time.

The grand winner for good practices received a token and USD 1,000 to be used to fund a learning visit to another country under the MTCP2 Programme. The stories will be compiled and published as MTCP2 Impact Stories.
