One of the key services provided by the Lao Farmers Association (LFA) is supporting its members in generating better income through various initiatives, including:

  • Providing market information
  • Connecting members to markets
  • Supporting business planning, including economic analysis to determine production costs, expected revenue, profits, and risk assessment
  • Helping members access finance and resources
  • Establishing partnerships with the public and private sectors – Facilitating learning activities to enhance production success
  • Strengthening farmers’ organizations by promoting good governance and financial management

In this video, members of farmer groups share how LFA has supported their agribusinesses through revolving funds, study visits, and youth group initiatives, with the support of the APFP-FO4A program.

LFA serves as the national implementing agency of APFP-FO4A in Laos. APFP-FO4A is implemented by the consortium Asian Farmers’ Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA) and La Via Campesina (LVC) and funded by the European Union and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
