The Nepal Agriculture Co-operative Central Federation Limited (NACCFL) conducted a Workshop on Engagement of Women and Youth in Urban Farming on 17 October 2025 (Ashoj 31, 2082) in Shiddhartha Cottage, Dhobighat, Lalitpur, Nepal.

The workshop brought together women and youth engaged in urban and peri-urban agriculture to strengthen their capacities, share best practices, and explore innovative and climate-resilient approaches to sustainable urban farming. It provided a valuable platform for participants to exchange experiences, discuss challenges, and identify opportunities to make urban agriculture more inclusive and sustainable for future generations. The activity was conducted under the Asia-Pacific Farmers’ Programme (APFP) – Supporting Farmers’ Organizations in Asia (FO4A) project.

The APFP-FO4A program is implemented by the Asian Farmers’ Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA) and La Via Campesina (LVC), with funding support from the European Union (EU) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The program aims to strengthen the capacities of farmers’ organizations to provide economic services, advocate for enabling policies, and promote sustainable livelihoods for small-scale family farmers across Asia.
