A women’s group of the Assembly of the Poor in Lopburi province, Thailand, produces fermented fish (pla ra) using a traditional recipe from the Central Region of the country. Fresh fish are caught from the Lamsondhi River during the peak season and local women preserve them for consumption during the off-season of these fishes.

This fermented fish is priced at 80 Thai baht per kilogram. Pre-orders are accepted at the ตลาดบ้าน-ป่าpeasant market.
