THAILAND – IWNT Revives Traditional Herbs and Healthcare

In Thailand, indigenous women of different ethnic groups are restoring their traditional knowledge of herbs and health care. The Indigenous Women Network of Thailand (IWNT), one of the farmers’ organizations under the AFOSP-MTCP2 Thailand is leading this initiative. The women by collecting native seeds for growing herbs and by developing herbal and medicinal products. In some areas, IWNT provides health care services including herbal sauna, foot bath, and hand bath using their herbs.
