I am Nguyen Thi Hoa Sim, born in 1993 in Hoang Nha village, Minh Hai, Van Lam, Hung Yen. I am a farmer member of Hoang Nha village, Minh Hai commune, Vietnam.
I come from a farming family. Like many other farmers, I understand the importance of agriculture and rice production. Currently, Vietnam is thriving with technology 4.0, but as a young farmer, I see many difficulties in agriculture, especially challenges posed by climate change. Climate change causes extreme weather phenomena such as hail, droughts, and floods that heavily affect the agricultural sector. The effects are felt in the process of land use, water resources, and the increase in carbon dioxide emissions and greenhouse gas emissions from human activities.
I hope that the Minister will formulate and implement programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, develop national reports on climate change, and develop and implement climate change adaptation measures.
If the climate is favorable, young farmers like me will make effort to learn and apply technology in agriculture to expand the area of crop production.
